THE IAA MISSION STATEMENT

To promote the use of authentication systems, technologies and products as an integral part of an effective strategy to protect products, documents & their users from counterfeiting and fraud

To establish and disseminate a compelling rationale for the role of authentication in corporate, national, regional and global anti-counterfeiting strategies

To educate and inform governments, government agencies, inter-government organizations and brand owners regarding the role and use of authentication

To represent the authentication industry as its authoritative voice to the public and private sectors and to seek recognition for and participation by the industry in the strategy, policy & standards discussions within these sectors

To lead discussion and debate regarding the evolution and development of the authentication industry

To protect and promote the interests of the authentication industry

An important part of the IAA’s mission will be to represent and promote the industry and the benefits of authentication to the many organizations with a stake in anti-counterfeiting, including;

Inter-Governmental Organizations: Interpol, WCO, WIPO, WHO

IPR-owner anti-counterfeiting organizations: GACG and its members (eg IACC, A-CG, UdF); Quality Brands Protection Committee; INTA, Marques, BASCAP, GBLAAC

Standards & Policy organizations: NASPO, DSA, CACP

Industry Organizations: IFPMA & its members; BSA, AGMA
